General Rules
1) Be kind. Do not insult or flame other members. Constructive criticism is welcome, but hateful comments or name-calling will not be tolerated and any posts containing it will be deleted.
2) Do not post adult or offensive materiel. This includes sexual comments, swear or cuss words, overly crude humor, and links to sites with such materiel.
3) No chat talk or spam. This message board is meant to be for writers and lovers of literature, so let's keep it well-written and literate. Any post with chat speak, all caps, repetitive comments, or otherwise extreme abuse of basic English grammar will be deleted.
4) Do not post copyrighted materiel. Posting copyrighted materiel without proper recognition will result in a warning or suspension and will get you in trouble with both the Second Realm administration and the law. This also applies to those who steal materiel from the members of this site and claim it as their own.
5) Respect the Mods' decisions. If you find a problem with something the moderators or admin have done, pm them privately and we will try to work it out. But remember that the mods have the final decision.
Roleplaying Rules
1) Before roleplaying, go to the Roleplay Scrapbook and fill out a profile for your character. Remember that this is strictly a fantasy roleplay site (no sci-fi), so please create a fantasy-themed character. If you want a character that you did NOT make up (ie: from a book, movie, story...) you will have to ask permisson from a mod to create a plotted story line. You CANNOT own that one character. Other members may use that character in seperate threads.
2) Try not to make an invincible or perfect character. Roleplaying is more enjoyable if it's realistic. Do not take control of other people's characters without their permission either.
3) Again, use good grammar and punctuation as much as you can help it. Place non-roleplay comments in brackets [] or after ooc: (out of character).
4) Do NOT enter into a roleplay without reading previous posts or if you have no knowledge of the plot.
5) The different locations are different places to start, but the roleplay doesn't have to be confined there. For example, if you start in the Valley, you're allowed to travel to the Mountains within the same thread.
6) If a roleplay hasn't been active in one month or more (i.e. No story posts have been made - ooc's don't count), it will be locked. However, it can be opened again if at least two of the original roleplayers pm a mod and request it. If they still do not reply within a period of one week, the thread will be closed until another request is made to re-open it.
